**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Lead IT Systems and Infrastructure Engineer will include:

- You will be responsible for the full oversight of IT systems and infrastructure for the organisation
- Work alongside the senior leadership team, external consultants, and partners and under their guidance perform changes to the systems to meet organisation’s strategic objectives
- Maintaining, monitoring and improving organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure to avoid interruption of service including preparing full documentation of the current and new systems
- Troubleshooting infrastructure hardware and software issues for example: servers, storage, switches and working with vendors and other team members to organise fixes & replacements when needed
- Maintaining and controlling access of rights, risk register, security records and documentation and investigate any unauthorised access
- Designing IT processes and procedures and ensuring systems, users & partners maintain compliance with IT & security policies, procedures and governance and ensuring best practise is followed
- Supporting staff and volunteers to identify the details of the problem reported and, by questioning, collect information and guide the user through suitable diagnostic procedures to determine the source of the problem, if possible
- Liaising with software & hardware vendors, the organisation’s service partners and third-party companies to obtain product information, resolve technical issues, or request service from them relating to logged calls
- Assisting in the efficient systems administration by regularly updating internal documentation, asset management system and other relevant documents
- Keep abreast of current IT innovations, information, changes and updates
- First point of call for escalation points for more complex issues
- You will be managing a small IT team
- Responsible for conducting regular supervision sessions and an annual personal review of the team under your supervision

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Microsoft certified
- A relevant technical qualification
- Experience managing a team within an IT setting
- Previous experience of administration of Exchange online, SharePoint online, Teams & Microsoft 365
- Experience of leading & managing transitions into a cloud-based environment
- Extensive knowledge on Windows Server 2016 & 2019, Windows 10, Microsoft Office & Microsoft 365
- Able to organise workload independently, prioritise tasks, respond to changing priorities at short notice & manage multiple IT projects
- Highly developed diagnostic and technical trouble-shooting skills on software packages
- Ability to perform research and development into systems in preparation for implementation of new solutions
