**Job Summary**

Key Holder

2hours per day on Tuesday & Thursday 5 PM Start

The role of Sheriff is a vital position within the law enforcement community, responsible for maintaining public safety and enforcing the law within the jurisdiction. The Sheriff serves as the chief law enforcement officer, overseeing deputies and ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with legal standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to community service.

**Responsibilities**
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws while ensuring the safety and security of the community.
- Supervise and manage deputies and support staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Respond to emergency situations, including accidents, crimes in progress, and public disturbances.
- Conduct investigations into criminal activities, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to incidents, arrests, and investigations.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organisations to enhance public safety initiatives.
- Engage with the community through outreach programmes to build trust and educate citizens on safety practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities conducted by the Sheriff's office.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in law enforcement or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in driving vehicles under various conditions while adhering to traffic laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence and be willing to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
- A commitment to upholding ethical standards and serving the community with integrity.
