This well established Children's Residential provider is opening a Brand new home in Ninfield, Battle which is located in Kent. This a well established company looking for Senior Children's Residential Support Workers.

To join a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people, the aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional care and development of the young residents and the establishments

**MUST Hold NVQ level 3 Children and young people Services.**

**39 Hours per week**

**This role will include Sleep in's.**

**Main Purpose of Job**:
To assist the Manager/Deputy in the effective and efficient management of the home. To work within, and ensure effective delivery of the Main Responsibilities and Key Result areas identified within the role of Senior Support Worker.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for the management and supervision of Shift Leaders/Support Staff
- To ensure that Residential Child Care Officers have the skills, knowledge and ability to manage residential support workers effectively.
- Responsibility for helping organizing staff rotas.
- Ensure that all staff are made aware of the variety of intervention strategies to work with children and young people in our care, and completed relevant training to keep themselves, others and children safe at all times.
- Ensure that children’s reviews and meetings are delivered within the required time scales.
- Ensure both local authority and internal care and placement plans are in place and that staff fully understand their role. Chair, or participate in meetings and reviews, as and when required.
- Deputize in the absence of the deputy manager and cover for team when necessary.
- Opportunities of the young people for their social, educational, leisure, emotional, physical, and cultural needs are met.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Be included in the on-call rota system whereby you will be required to be “on call” for two evenings a week where you may be expected to attend the home. From time to time take responsibility of the out of hours on call phone.
- The post holder may be reasonably be expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility that may be allocated from time to time. It is the responsibility of the post holder to comply with Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities requirements at all times.

**ABILITY**:

- To develop and maintain effective team working practices across the staff group.
- To communicate with outside agencies, children and their families
- Promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children, young people and staff.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
