**Job overview**:
The Associate Director of AHPs will support the Chief AHP in leading and sustaining the NCA’s AHP workforce, harnessing their value and identifying opportunities to develop new roles and new ways of working. They will provide expert professional advice to a wide range of staff. Support in developing strategy and implement policy across the organisation.
The Associate Director of AHPs will work in partnership with the Chief AHP and Assistant Directors of AHPs in Care Organisations to provide senior clinical leadership and a clear communication structure for teams across the NCA
**Main duties of the job**:
Responsible for the delivery and management of specific AHP services, managing work capacity and performance targets within the allocated budget.
Ensure a robust professional approach to service development and improvement and that any subsequent changes to structures, services and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and on-going development.
Together with the Chief AHP, lead the strategic direction of the whole group and take a lead role in negotiating, identifying, and implementing plans, which contain the required detail for services to be managed and delivered effectively.
Provide Allied Health Professional advice and leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of Quality Strategies that deliver a high quality, patient centred service.
Support the Chief AHP in the delivery of the NCA Clinical Governance agenda and compliance with the Care Quality Commission and reporting arrangements
Identify and manage risks related the NCA wide AHP activity.
Encourage and enable the advancement and development of the Allied Health Professional services and practice through personal and professional development which is aligned to strategic direction of the learning and development team.
