We are currently looking for a Principal Environmental Consultant to join our friendly team working on local market and UK projects.
The work will involve working on transportation schemes (rail/road), energy transmission infrastructure & generation (OHL / wind) and Built Environment projects (buildings/cities).
Working with multidisciplinary project design teams, leading environmental assessments to develop and deliver sustainable design solutions, the role will be inspiring and varied.
The role will involve:

- Leading all stages of environmental assessment that may include business cases, EIA screening and scoping, environmental inputs to tendering, detailed design and construction.
- Production of environmental statements and other environmental/ sustainability reports.
- Coordination of technical input from multidisciplinary environmental specialists.
- Managing programmes, resources, and finances on environmental projects.
- Mentoring and line management of junior environmental team members.
- Essential:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to professional excellence
- Knowledge of EU and UK legislation relevance to environmental, planning and environmental management
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as and when required
- Desirable:

- Experience of environmental assessment and/or town planning
- Multidisciplinary experience related to environmental management, environmental assessment, or an industrial placement will be an advantage
- Chartered Environmentalist and full membership of an environmental Institute (or similar level and working towards chartership)
- IT Skills: MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Arc GIS
