Senior Research Analyst - IT Security

Exciting opportunity with a highly respected TMT Industry Analyst& Consulting firm. This role would suit someone covering the IT security market for an industry analyst firm or someone working within the sector as a market analyst.

Maintaining and updating the security elements of the SME technology forecast. (40% of your time). This involves:

- Forecasting 7 security categories, split into 20+ security product categories
- Producing forecast splits based on company size, routes to market, country/region and vertical market.

Programme lead for the security research programme. (30% of your time). This involves:

- Producing content for the programme. Each year this will include forecast reports (2x), survey reports, updating market trackers, vendor profiles and producing articles.
- Answering client enquiries and presenting research ) to clients

Security-related project work (30% of your time). This would include:

- Helping clients with market facing activities, such as writing papers, speaking at events, message testing for new product launches
- Helping clients with internal activities, typically related to their strategy. This could include producing bespoke forecasts, helping clients understand channels to market and helping customers with their positioning.

This is a fast expanding area within our clients business. This role will give the postholder considerable autonomy to influence the direction of the research programme. The nature of the research is much more focused on strategy and routes to market thanthe technicalities of individual security technologies.
