**MCI UK Ltd** is looking for a **Finance Assistant **to join the team to assist with the day-day running of the Finance department.

**Main Responsibilities**

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Posting day to day bank transactions across multiple companies.
- Updating cash books
- Raising invoices
- Weekly payment runs
- Processing and paying staff expenses
- Processing monthly staff credit card transactions
- Processing multi-currency transactions
- Processing month end recharges journals
- Controlling month end client cost recharges
- Credit Control
- Monitoring intercompany transactions
- Assisting with UK and International VAT returns
- National Statistics returns
- Internal reporting
- Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currency bank accounts
- Reconciling income received to online registration portals
- To be the main point of contact for general finance questions

To assist in the delivery of aspects of the Finance Business Unit strategy plan in conjunction with other team members

To assist in the delivery of Finance Business Unit responsibilities to ensure the service meets and exceed client’s expectations

To maintain timelines and priorities set

To manage administrative functions as required to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the service

To pro-actively report up on timelines and activities

To drive for excellence in customer service

To maintain quality and adherence to processes, identifying and contributing to their improvement

To represent MCI UK (and the wider group) as and when necessary or appropriate

**Job Requirements & Technical Skills**

Ideal starting role for someone who wants a career in Finance

Some experience or knowledge of key accounting concepts

Finance degree or similar would be an advantage

Interest in current business issues and finance

Attention to detail

Good organisational skills

Computer literate in Microsoft products (some knowledge of Excel)

Knowledge of SAGE desirable, but not essential

Fluent in both written and spoken English

Eligible to work in the UK
