At L3Harris in Brighton we are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. We specialise in high performance electro-mechanical systems and pneumatic technology for airborne weapon carriage release. We are lookingfor a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement and analyse engineering plans and projects. You will then be responsible for communicating those plans and projects to internal and external customers. **What the role will involve**

If you’re invited to join our team of dedicated experts, the responsibilities of your role will include the following:

- Manufacturing engineering resource to the internal research and development (IRAD) programs
- Transfer of manufacturing knowledge from IRAD into the Integrated Program Teams (IPT) - Program
- Maintaining and creation of manufacturing routes on the business system
- Liaise with the suppliers to discuss new designs and concepts feed this back to the engineering team
- Engage with quality engineers ensuring quality plans are created and products can be verified

**What you’ll bring**

The role of Manufacturing Engineer requires the following experience and skills:

- Previous Manufacturing Engineering experience (with an associated qualification would be desirable)
- Ability to produce project reports in accordance to manufacturing operations
- Experience using SolidWorks
- Six Sigma training (Green belt) or Lean Toolset Training
- Skilled in the use of standard Microsoft Office package
- Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good literacy and numeracy.
