**Job Title**:PA to the Headmaster
**Hours**:37 hours per week
**Working weeks**:42 weeks (Term Time + 4 weeks)
**Responsible to**:Headmaster
**General Scope of the post**
To provide an effective and efficient PA service to the Headmaster including
administrative, secretarial and organisational support.
**Key Tasks and Statement of Duties**
- Manage the Headmaster’s diary, arranging appointments and meetings
with appropriate booking venue and hospitality as required.
- Prepare documents and letters, including confidential documents, as
directed by the Headmaster.
- Copy and collate confidential documents as required.
- Coordinate and prepare agendas and associated papers for meetings
ensuring the Headmaster is fully prepared and briefed.
- Update the Headmaster’s half-termly reports to Governors.
- Book travel and accommodation for the Headmaster as required.

good time and redirected as appropriate.
- Redirect external enquiries to appropriate senior staff.
- Liaise with parents as directed regarding issues relating to individual
students.
- Produce the annual Academy calendar and assembly schedule, producing
regular updates of an any changes ensuring information is on the
VLE/parent portal/ website.
PA to the Headmaster
- Circulate notes of academy meetings.
- Oversee the collation of the Academy prospectus, Staff Handbook and
policy documents ensuring all are up to date and available when required.
- Maintain appropriate filing systems - electronic and paper based.
- Manage senior admin budget including ordering of stationery and
supplies.
- Undertake such duties as may be determined from time to time within the
scope of the post to support the general operation of the Academy.

be used for example in identifying more effective ways in providing management
information.

Daily contact with the Headmaster, SLT, staff, parents and students.
Regular contact with Governors and external bodies.

Decisions are made in line with established alternatives and in consultation with
the Headmaster.

Impact on the Academy will be quickly identified and remedied.

Physical demands related to office work. There may be prolonged periods of

Regular contact with the Headmaster, employees of the school, parents,
students and other outside bodies on matters which are generally non

**Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential requirements**
a. Previous experience in a similar role

d. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
**Desirable requirements**
a. 3 ‘A’ Levels or equivalent
b. Formal administrative qualification
c. Shorthand
d. Previous experience of working within education.
