Production Planner

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Plan and issue production schedules using MRP to meet agreed despatch dates for all approved sales orders;
- Review provisional production slots identified by the Project managers for any new sales order and communicate final despatch dates to load on SAP;
- Regularly amend the production schedules to reflect unforeseen contingencies while still trying to achieve original dispatch dates;
- Maintain a high level of flexibility to meet changing demands or accommodate additional unforeseen customers’ requests.
- Raise production orders in line with MRP demand and production schedules;
- Contribute to the NPI process by regularly updating the first offs log, participating to the NPI meetings and help resolve any issue which could lead to a late delivery;
- Replan any potential work not completed at the end of each week;
- Run 4-week window lookahead for approved demand and weekly discuss resources allocation with the Operations Manager to highlight bottlenecks/capacity surpluses;
- Participate to daily Operations meeting to discuss the progress of every line of a 5-days order book window, highlighting deviations from the plan;
- Participate to the weekly Labour planning meeting providing the Production team with the following week resources distribution by cell;
- Always strive to optimize the production sequence listed on the plan to minimize changeover time and reduce wastes;
- Highlight material shortages affecting the achievement of the weekly plan and chase the Procurement team for answers.
- When required, support the procurement team placing purchase orders and requisitions.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a planning role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar planning systems is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
