One SPA Senior Fitness Instructor

The award winning ONE SPA has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Fitness Instructor.**

This role involves working 40 hours per week on 5 days out of 7. There will be weekend work and it involves Early and Late shift cover with the earliest start time of 06:00 and the latest finish time of 22.30.

Responsibilities include:

- Under the guidance of the Spa Director and within the limits of ONE SPA policies, ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of the fitness operation. Ensure smooth running of the fitness department to maximise profit and guest satisfaction. To be responsible for a happy working environment and team as well as:

- Assist Spa Director in promoting the Fitness area to maximise profitability.
- To perform fitness consultations as required, and to be especially aware of VIP attendance.
- To be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training, development, appraisal and discipline of all fitness staff
- Conduct and train staff in fitness assessments and one to one training and correct use of fitness equipment.
- To attend managerial meetings as required and to perform Duty Manager Duties as required.
- To be aware of the treatments and services offered, and any promotions that may be on offer at the time.
- To be responsible for the administration of goods, requisition inventories and cost effective wage structure of all departmental related materials and costs.
- To issue recommendations regarding the operating budget, planning and evaluations of financial performance, including reports on sales and operations with supporting statistical data.
- To prepare reports for the Spa Director on the need for new developments or changes to existing policies or objectives to keep abreast of market developments and new products/services available.
- Assist the Spa Director in the marketing plan and its activities and be responsible for the execution of the plan. Assist with talks and promotions when required.
- Provide the updates to manuals, workbooks and to fully describe the Spa operation and ensure operating systems are up-to-date. Manual to include, but not be limited to, duty checklist, system formats, schedules, master plan, and budgets.
- Ensure guest areas, including locker areas and fitness areas, are kept clean and up to standard, following our Commitment to Clean guidelines

Attributes Required:
Capable of leading, motivating and managing a team of fitness instructors

A minimum of REPS Level 2 or equivalent is required for this role

Experience of working with spa/gym booking and scheduling software an advantage

Excellent written and spoken English

Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours

Excellent understanding of client care and five star standards

Ability to work reactively and proactively

- 10 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Fitness: 3 years (preferred)
- Spa/Health Club: 1 year (preferred)
