The role is a key role in ensuring only the highest standards of quality care are delivered at all times. The Care Assessor is responsible for implementing quality control systems. Providing ongoing support to all Care Staff with North Leeds. The role also requires you to communicate well with new customers as you help to onboard new customers and carry our care package reviews for existing customers.
**Main duties and responsibilities for the Care Assessor.**
- The care assessor will carry out all client assessments for new clients including risk assessments as part of the Assessment process.
- The care assessor will support with the companies recruitment goals by following our recruitment model.
- The care assessor will regularly monitor and review clients updating documentation including support plans as required.
- The care assessor will carry out introductory visits of new care workers to a client.
- The care assessor will ensure all client visits are always covered.
- The care assessor will be part of the on-call team in case of an emergency a rota basis case of emergency.
- The care assessor will liaise closely with Care Coordinators in relation to recruitment, allocation of Care Workers and the development of care & support plans.
- The care assessor will identify Care Workers to cover for any absences, this may be due to sickness or holiday.
- The care assessor will allocate suitable alternative Care Workers when an existing Care Worker notifies that they are unable to attend a call.
- The care assessor will be actively involved with the induction of all new Care Workers.
- The care assessor will identify any additional training needs of Care Workers.
- The care assessor will urgently report any changes in a Care Worker's or customer's schedule to the Care Coordinator.
- The care assessor will monitor, supervise and mentor all Care Workers in the field.
- The care assessor will provide support to all Care Workers in the field.
- The care assessor will monitor all customers for service and Care Worker satisfaction.
- The care assessor will ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in customers' homes.
- The care assessor will ensure that all written reports and administration is up to date
- The care assessor will maintain close liaison with both the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator. Team Leaders are responsible for the efficient running of their own specific, defined areas and should vary their hours of work in order to effectively monitor and support all Care Workers and customers.

- Maintain staffing levels at all times, ensure that the telephones are manned from 9AM - 5PM on all working days. (On call includes time outside of these hours as required).
**Desirable attributes**:
- NVQ2/3 in Care qualification
- Car driver with access to a car
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
