I'm working with a well-established Lancashire based manufacturing business. Never wanting to stand still having built a worldwide recognisable brand over the last 50 years of trading, my client wants to employ a forward-thinking Sales and Marketing Managerto help them reach the next significant stage of their growth and development.
Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director, you will support, develop and motivate a team to help them achieve their KPIs and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Manager:

- Proactively manage the Sales & Marketing team, ensuring excellent quality of service and customer care and by giving clear targets towards the achievement of agreed monthly/annual sales and margin targets.
- Actively promote the Company brand by customer visits and regular telephone contact (both incoming and out-going calls) to enhance existing and create new business.
- Lead, manage and motivate the Marketing/Social Media Team to develop eCommerce and drive sales through the Company website.
- Ensure all team members produce accurate quotations/orders and follow Company procedures with regard to despatch of goods, design/production of correct product by completely accurate and complete production/sales orders.
- Create and sustain professional rapport with key accounts ensuring regular contact is made to ascertain buying requirements.
- Carry out strategic planning and reviews for the Central Sales & Marketing function in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Director.
- Provide detailed annual/quarterly sales forecasts to the Finance and Production Teams taking into account seasonality, historic trends and industry knowledge.
- Conduct regular market research and marketplace analysis to promote the brand and services.
- Establish customer requirements, strengths/weaknesses of the competition and advise accordingly.
- Offer technical and professional sales support.
- Manage marketing budgets, ensuring that all areas of expenditure and advertising are assessed for effectiveness, value for money and level of service/contribution to the growth of the level of sales.
- Plan, book and arrange staffing/attendance at any agreed trade shows including the provision of all corporate literature and equipment.
- Create and/or proof-read all literature, price lists and press releases to ensure accuracy of product information and pricing.
- Liaise with trade publications and design agency in regard to advertising and PR.
- Continually review, maintain and develop the Company web site to ensure accuracy and sales maximisation.
- Promote the Company and its services on social media platforms and monitor.
- Assist in the production and release of mail shots via liaison with Sales & Marketing Director, Purchasing Team and Branch Retail Managers.
Key requirements of the Sales and Marketing Manager:

- Proven track record of managing and developing a sales team.
- Ideally you will have experience of working within the motor manufacturing industry or a motor parts manufacturing business or similar, however this is not essential criteria to be considered for the role.
- You will be a hands-on sales & marketing professional who likes to lead by example.
- You will be up to speed with a wide range of social media platforms and understand the importance that these play with driving sales through eCommerce.
- Enjoy creating and working within a fun and down to earth goals orientated environment.
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor others.
