Information Governance Officer

**Overview**:
Eden Brown Synergy is working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in London, which is seeking to recruit an Information Governance and Record Management Officer to assist the Procurement and Information governance team. The information governance and record management officer will assist in creating a record management plan in adherence to the management policies and procedures. If you have an in-depth data retention & data protection knowledge and be able to navigate all areas of the organisation, then this is the role for you.
**This role is paying £28 hourly inside IR35 for 6 months initially.**
As an Information governance and record management officer you will within two weeks, undertake a gap analysis in order to create a records management project plan (including milestones), focusing on retention, as well create and develop working relationships with the relevant stakeholders. You will also review both the IAR and RoPAs to ensure they are up to date and the retention information within both is consistent with that of the retention schedule and policy. Additionally, you will provide regular updates and reports to the IG Board, CMT, DMT, DPO and Head of Information Governance on the project.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- IT Governance Training Certifications
- Public Sector experience within the United Kingdom.
- Data Protection Law certificate
