**About the role**
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated social worker who shares a passion in supporting the progression of others. The Advanced Practitioner role is ideal for a Social Worker looking to develop their skills and experience. You will receive support from a permanent Team Manager with regular supervision, numerous training opportunities and a commitment to your on-going professional development.

We are the first authority within the Greater Manchester area to implement and pioneer Herefordshire's Family Safeguarding model. This is a fantastic opportunity to change the way we work with children and families in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children of Bury.
Social Workers based within Care and Support Service, support children who are in our care working closely with carers and families. We have three Care and Support Service teams and work alongside our two leaving care teams ensuring a smooth transition for young people transitioning to adulthood. Social workers work closely with the personal advisors and our virtual school colleagues are based with us.
You will have the opportunity to build trusting relationships with children, young people, carers and families. We know this supports positive and effective engagement which achieves better outcomes for children and it ensures the plan is the right plan for children in our care maintaining a focus on permanence.
To help us achieve our ambitions for children and families we are looking for dedicated, and compassionate practitioners who are child focused and committed to relationship-based social work to join us. You will be a qualified social worker, registered with SW England and have access to a car to enable you to visit and support our children and young people.
