**"PROJECT SUPERVISOR"** Project Supervisor role for someone experienced within the following industries; Materials Handling / Rail Freight Handling / Port Freight Handling / Earthworks / Quarrying / Civil Engineering / Mining **Salary**: Very Competitive, Bonus, Benefits, long term ongoing works **Location**:West London UK, with travel as required **RFS Works Ltd** has been in operation for over 40 years, part of what we specialise in is the bulk construction materials sector, we work with iconic brands with an excellent and highly successful track record and are undoubtedly regarded as a market leader within our operating sectors. **The Role**: As a Project Supervisor, you will specifically focus on leading, directing and effectively managing material handling and / or earthworks & quarry based operational teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional safety, environmental, cost, quality, customer service, financial and operational targets. The emphasis will be on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and performance over all areas of the project. - Operating to the highest level of health and safety in line with our Health and Safety Plan, whilst also planning continuous improvement in this area. - Operating to the highest level of environmental objectives in line with our environmental management plan, whilst adhering to geotechnical operational parameters, ensuring all statutory legislation and company regulations are adhered to with respect to all operational activities and implementing continuous improvement in this area. - Achieve optimum production levels in line with commercial activity at the lowest operation cost. Continually advance operational improvements to improve efficiency within the production function, work with customers regarding delivery and quality issues and ensuring excellent customer service / communications at all times. - Working with the HME Fleet & Logistics functions to ensure that operational procedures support the achievement of excellent customer service levels at the most efficient operational cost. - Working with the customer technical functions to ensure that operational procedures support the achievement of excellent quality levels at the most efficient operational cost. - Ensure that the project operational teams are adequately resourced, trained and developed whilst maintaining excellent communication throughout the project. - Work closely with internal & external maintenance teams to ensure that assets are in place and maintained at the highest level to ensure that the business plan can be delivered, coordinate maintenance activities during a normal day and during periods of planned shutdowns - Ensure personnel are effectively managed, developed and become highly competent and valued as part of the operational team. - Ensure operational control mechanisms are effectively implemented covering all relevant aspects (including Health & Safety, environmental controls, capex management control, revenue spend controls). - Diploma in Quarry Technology/FdSc Minerals Extractives Technology desirable, able to demonstrate a strong quarry operational management background ideally gained within a hard rock, cement, aggregates, sand, gravel, stone, concrete, asphalt, stone or other building products such as bricks, blocks, paving, stone, glass. - Experience of materials handling, earthworks & quarrying, load & haul operations, overburden stripping and restoration, drill and blast operations and geotechnical assessment. - Experience of quarry management at a site producing 3,000,000 tonnes+ per annum - Excellent understanding of working within a process plant or a highly regulated Health, Safety and Environmental centric site will also be considered. - Excellent equipment management and earthworks & quarry operational planning. - Experience of managing both permanent and contract employees. - You will ideally hold a SHE NVQ Level 4/QCF level 6 as a minimum, DAPS or equivalent; quarry operations related qualifications plus NEBOSH and IOSH. - You will be able to demonstrate inspirational felt leadership and the ability develop a team in achieving best in class standards and customer service. - An effective verbal and written communicator at all levels of an organisation and externally with customers and suppliers. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Company pension - Cycle to work scheme - Employee discount - Life insurance - On-site parking - Wellness programme Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Night shift - Overtime - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Bonus scheme - Performance bonus - Yearly bonus COVID-19 considerations: We are following all of the current Government guidelines to reduce risk to all of our employees.
