**Commercial Assistant, Uckfield, £23-27k**

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Infrastructure division. Over the past 30 years, SOCOTEC Monitoring has provided measurement and monitoring for critical structures which might be affected by demolition or construction, such as property developments, tunnels, deep excavations, highways and railways. This service provides critical data to stakeholders regarding any movements which may pose a potential risk to project timescales or budgets. SOCOTEC Monitoring has earned its reputation as a valued partner for delivering geotechnical monitoring services on large civil engineering projects globally.

We are looking for a Commercial Assistant who will be:

- Supporting the Commercial and Projects teams in raising Client Applications and Invoices for Project work undertaken
- Working with the Project Manager in assessing Project costs to ensure costs are allocated correctly.
- Tracking progress & value of work done; including periodic valuations of work carried out to date
- Commercial management, contract reviews and contract administration.
- Supporting Finance team in the management of Debt and Purchase Orders.
- Monitor and manage the contract procedures, payments, variations together with contract entitlements.
- Administration including data entry, Excel spread sheets and tracking documents.
- Appropriate project filing & maintaining substantiated records for audit purposes.

- Previous experience in Commercial Management. Essential
- Experience of Projects in the Civil & Construction industries. Beneficial.
- Understanding of Financial Accounting systems (e.g. SAGE). Essential
- Understanding of NEC contracts. Beneficial.
- Understanding of Supplier Purchase Order processes. Beneficial.
- Understanding of Project revenue Application processes and margins. Essential.
- Competent in MS Office (including Excel and Word).
