Wells, United Kingdom Affinity Trust Full time

**Doing Amazing Things Together** We’re all about possibilities. Are you?**

Is community important to you? Are you outgoing, passionate and courteous?

**Become a Support Worker.**

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

Our locations across Street and Wells, in Somerset work alongside people with Learning Disabilities and Autism living in their own homes who need people like you to ensure they can live as independently as possible.

If you are good at cooking, managing a budget, planning and managing your time. Or just passionate about helping others, then you could be part of our team supporting people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life

For this role we need you to be a driver with access to your own car, so you can get around the area and make the most of the time you are spending with the people you support.

This is a Part Time post (between 15 - 30 hours) and you should be available to work shifts across the week and weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support _with_ and _alongside_ people, then this is the place for you.

**Why Join Us?** What will we do?**

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

**What will you do?**

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all shopping trips and cooking. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with changeBut when you support someone to try something new - what a feeling

We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
