**We are recruiting for an HR Advisor for a fixed term contract for up to 13 months (depending on start date) to support our operations in the UK & Ireland due to maternity.**
**Purpose of Job**
- Support the HR Manager and department with the full employee life cycle in line with company policy, processes, legislation and best practice (inc. but not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, performance management, change management, learning and development, leavers, absence management, disciplinaries and grievances)
- Provide generalist HR support to all UK & Ireland employees in collaboration with the HR Manager
- Support with various local and global HR projects
**Accountabilities & Key Tasks**
- Provide first line advice and guidance for any operational/employment related HR queries in line with company policies and best practice
- Manage the new starter and onboarding process, including documentation, reference checks, pre-employment health checks, right to work checks, first day inductions and training
- Prepare and issue confidential documentation and support payroll changing and process
- Support with updating the HRIS system & Headcount reports with all employee changes on a monthly basis
- Liaise, support and assist with all probation periods
- Support with co-ordinating HR related training courses as required
- Monitor sickness absence, analysing any trends/patterns and supporting line managers/employees with absence cases
- Support with any family friendly requests including flexible working, maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave etc.
- Manage and co-ordinate the long service award process
- Coordinating the HR leaver process
- Support the HR Manager with any workplace disputes or conflicts, including disciplinary, grievance, mediation or any other support as required.
- Support with any organisational changes as required i.e. restructures, redundancy, TUPE, etc.
- Support the HR Manager to review and update HR policies
- Ensure employee HR files are kept up to date
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and stakeholders across the business
- Manage the raising, coding and payment of invoices and purchase orders related to HR
**Knowledge & Experience**
**Essential**
- HR Generalist with experience delivering advice and support across the full employee lifecycle
- Ability to work pro-actively and reactively, whilst delivering and managing a high workload
- Proven experience of reprioritising workload/daily tasks within a reactive working environment with the ability to manage multiple and varying deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite systems, Office 365, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, reliability, collaboration and approachability
- Strong, clear and effective communication skills (face to face, by telephone, in writing)
- Great administration skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability and confidence to work autonomously, organise own workload, take responsibility and manage time effectively and productively
- Good understanding of the GDPR/legal requirements in handling personal and sensitive data
- Ability to keep knowledge up to date with Employment legislation and sharing learnings with HR colleagues as required
**Desirable**
- Previous HR experience within a matrix organisation
- Working within a small and busy HR department
- CIPD Level 3 qualified
- Demonstratable HR administrative/advisory experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with HRIS systems
