Operations Director

A leading business-to-business wholesale provider of technology products & supply chain management services are looking to hire an Operations Director, as part of their Senior Leadership team.
As Operations Director, you'll be required to drive all aspects of day to day running of the Operational elements of the Norwich site, taking full responsibility for delivery of P&L, the management of all site-based operations, Health & Safety and Security.You'll need to be dedicated, possessing a passion to work with mínimal direction, employing your skills to become an established member of the Management team.
Responsibilities of the Operations Director will include:
- Delivery of a targeted financial contribution to the UK business unit, by effective management of services offered to key strategic clients, delivering the site P&L in line with targets.
- Development, improvement and implementation of operations and production plans to meet company goals, KPI's and SLA's.
- Management of a cross functional team, representing Operations, Health & Safety, and Security - including the coordination of stakeholders via a daily cadence to deliver business requirements.
- Reviewing and making changes where necessary, to the operational and support resource structure; continuously assessing it's suitability for the business.
- Management of the day-to-day operations of each department, establishing company policies, implementing necessary changes and adhering to compliance procedures, laws and regulations.
- Providing necessary reports, assisting management in goal setting and promoting company growth, as well as anticipating and forecasting commercial trends/patterns of the company and in the marketplace.
- Managing finances, developing, monitoring and analysing the departmental and company budgets and financial reports.
- Creating financial plans for increasing revenue margins.
- Developing stock control capabilities to maintain control of all stock, including the creation of operational strategies to minimise stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increasing employee productivity.
- Delivery of New Project Implementation within budget and to agreed time-lines.
- Spearhead LEAN initiatives to drive efficiency's via Operations Management personnel, with the support of the LEAN Manager.
- Attend regular Operational review meetings with clients.
- Ensure client reporting is provided.
- Establish a proactive relationship with third parties and manufacturers, where required.
- Lead and drive employee engagement across the site, improving general levels of engagement throughout.
- Compliance with respective accreditation guidelines (Quality & Environment).
- Take full responsibility for Health &Safety legislation.
- Attend training courses, ensuring personal and team job skills keep pace with legislative & business developments.
- Be aware of Health and Safety requirements, according to guidelines set out in the Health & Safety manual.
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.
- Have a 'customer first' approach to work.

- Understanding of the technology service industry or logistics business, as a 3PL
- Complicit with technologies, products, clients and competitors within the Forward Logistics industry both B2B & D2C.
- Expert in H&S legislation (i.e. COSHH, RoHS and duties of care).
- Business Systems IS014001/2004, ISO9001:2000.

**Key Performance Indicators for the Operations Director**:
- On time delivery of projects within agreed budgets.
- Meet & improve upon budgetary forecasts.
- Delivery of LEAN targets.
- Delivery of automation projects.
- Delivery, via the team targets, of core financially impacting objectives owned by your team.
- Attainment of set and agreed scorecard KPI's.
- Positive feedback from internal/external clients/stakeholders.
- Team performance & succession planning.
- Meeting pre-determined objectives.
As Operations Director, you'll receive a generous salary of between £75,000 to £90,000 per year, alongside a 15% bonus and additional benefits too. You'll join an already established and highly successful business, becoming a pivotal member of the SeniorManagement team.
