Join our **Regional Civils** team as a **Buyer** and open up new pathways you never dreamt possible
This role is supporting projects based around the South of England, locations such as Wokingham, Exeter, Plymouth are a few. Travel will be expected.
**What you'll be doing**
As a Buyer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
- Projects POC for the South Delivery Unit, to provide support, resolve queries and offer advice
- Ensuring internal spend compliance
- Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
- Conducting tender processes
- Supplier meetings and engagement
- Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
- Management of Procurement Schedules
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
- Negotiating discounts and savings & ensuring accurate reporting of such along with value add activities
- Supplier performance management
- Ensuring adherence to procurement processes and procedures
