Food and Beverage Supervisor

Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages. Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons. If you are looking for full time work please send CV through. **Main Responsibilities** - Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction - supporting the Junior Members of the team, guiding and developing them to a high standard. - Leading by example. - Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages - Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons - Helps increase food and beverage revenue through his/her sales efforts - Recording and strictly adhering to all dietary requirements noted - Is familiar with all the hotel's services, informs guests and encourages use - Promotes the food and beverage special events and products - Increases food and beverage revenue through additional sales techniques - Handling of cash, credit cards and voucher payments. **Customer Relations** - Provides a friendly and personalised welcome for guests and is constantly attentive to their needs - Promotes the point of sale and services to customers - Ensures respect of brand commitments - Conveys the image of the hotel **Professional Techniques / Production** - Knows all the restaurant and bar menu products (preparation instructions) - Serves guests in the restaurant, organising his/her work to suit fluctuations in numbers - Ensures equipment remains in good condition - Ensures work station remains clean and tidy throughout shift - Applies the procedures for opening and closing a point of sale **Management and administration** - Is responsible in the meet of the department's targets by: - avoiding waste and loss of merchandise - Manages invoicing and cash operations for the services sold - Is responsible for the restaurants/bar cash holdings and scrupulously respects cash management rules - Helps manage crockery and appliances by avoiding breakages **Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment** - Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations - Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used - Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc) - Ensures that all F&B areas are kept clean and that hygiene and food safety standards are respected - Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc) **Reporting Line** - Reports to the Restaurant Manager **Profile** **Skills / Qualities** - Good interpersonal skills and self-confidence - Guest focussed and service minded, with attention to quality - Sales oriented - Dynamic, autonomous and proactive - Good physical condition, able to work in a very busy environment - **This job description is not exhaustive and will evolve as the hotel's organisational needs change.**_ **Salary**: Up to £12.50 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Discounted or free food - Employee discount - Free parking - On-site parking - Referral programme Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Bournemouth, BH1 3DL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - Are you 18 or Over? - Are you available all through the Summer to work?
