Payroll Co-Ordinator
We are seeking an experienced payroll co-ordinator to work with the Finance and HR Departments to provide support across the organisation. This is an office based role in Head Office, c/o The Millstone, Haddricks Mill Road, Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is a new and exciting role to the Company and the main duties will include:
- Process both weekly and monthly payroll
- Responsible for monthly reporting to support payroll processing
- Accurately input monthly payroll and benefit information within agreed timescales
- Dealing with all employee payroll queries
- Administration of new starters and leavers
- Calculating and administrating holiday pay entitlement
- Ensuring all monthly payroll adjustments are processed including starters, leavers, sickness, maternity and paternity pay, salary changes and pensions
- Assist with payroll calculations using variable data (e.g. overtime / maternity / paternity etc.)
- Ensure compliance with all statutory legislation including but not limited to PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, GDPR and pensions
- Maintain and update the Company employee databases
- Support the administrative process of the employee lifecycle
- Ensure Right to Work documentation is received and references are obtained
- Undertake any such project or request to drive continuous improvement in relation to payroll and HR processes
The skills you will need as a payroll co-ordinator include:
- Previous experience working in a Payroll administrator or co-ordinator role
- Able to administer all monthly / fortnightly payroll tasks including starters, leavers and amendments
- Excellent communication skills to enable you to deal effectively with all employee payroll and general enquiries
- Experience in dealing with sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
- Able to identify impending problems or issues with both HR and finance, showing a considered understanding of their requirements
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office functions, particularly Excel and Word and have a working knowledge of Fourth payroll
- Good attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach to work
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
