**They are looking for a Warehouse / FLT worker based in LS19, Yeadon**
**Salary**:
£23.000 - £25,000 DOE
**Hours**:
Monday to Friday (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm on weekly rotating shifts with early finish Fridays)
**The Role**:
The purpose of your role will be to maintain the business performance targets through the efficient handling of all goods, ensuring safe receipt, storage and dispatch of materials to feed business operations and customer demand by utilizing the automated Warehouse Management System. To look after the department on a day to day basis and make decisions, liaise with other departments and suppliers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate in a safe manner and comply with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times
- Liaise with Supply Chain Manager with regards to off-site storage and stock consolidation to ensure maximum space utilisation
- Ensure the Converting Department receives required raw materials and packaging as required, and that finished goods are removed and stored in a timely manner
- Complete regular stock counts on all items and keep accurate records, ensure any stock movements are completed on Warehouse Management System
- Receipting and put away of goods using a Warehouse Management System, checking for any damage or missing items, escalating any issues to the Supply Chain Manager and/or HSEQ Manager
- 100% accurate picking and packing of orders using the Warehouse Management System, ensuring that correct and adequate packaging materials are used to avoid any damage during transit.
- Challenge current existing systems and processes, by suggesting improvements that can be made.
- Organising and booking of transport for timely delivery of all orders picked, selecting the correct designated carriers online booking systems, to include export orders
- Liaise between the Warehouse Team and the Supply Chain Management Team
- Vehicle loading and unloading in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Removal of waste from the Production and Converting area in a timely manner ensuring correct waste streams are used for disposal
- Always keep external and internal work areas clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
- Re-label and re-pack goods to customer specifications
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in any Ad-Hoc tasks as and when required
**Experience/Requirements**:
- GCSE Maths & English (C and above)
- 2 years’ experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong IT skills to include use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licences
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management/Booking Systems
- Understanding of Export Orders and procedures required post Brexit
- Manual Handling Training
- Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and standard operating procedures
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to challenge current and suggest/implement new procedures/processes
- A willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility when required.
- Someone with attention to detail and problem solving skills
