We are Simplyhealth. A 150 year old business with an amazing heritage and history of changing healthcare in the UK. With an ever increasing strain on the NHS, and a cost of living crisis, the products that Simplyhealth offer are needed more than ever before. But we have bigger ambitions than that. We want to improve access to healthcare for everyone in the UK, we want to democratise healthcare in terms of cost but also accessibility to ensure that we deliver on our purpose - to improve access to healthcare forall in the UK. To achieve this, we’re embarking on a radical transformation to deliver this ambitious goal. With a trusted brand and a strong heritage in healthcare, we think we are uniquely placed to help change the landscape of healthcare in the UK. The ambition is tosupport customers (individuals, corporates, collectives) on their personal health journeys through a mix of services, personalisation and commerce offers that link together the physical and digital worlds, by creating tools and products that support wellnessin a bespoke way based on individual need. As Group Tax Manager you’ll oversee the reporting and controls with HMRC managing our "tax take". This a key role supporting both regulatory reporting but also ensuring we have the correct tax positions for new products and companies as we realise our purpose. You’ll provide the accurate delivery of draft tax reporting throughout the group. These reports, returns and associated payments will include but not be limited to; VAT, Corporation Tax, Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and payroll taxes. You’ll also manage allTax Risk and provide assurance to the Chief Financial Officer in regard to our SAO compliance process, and for leading the relationship with the group’s CRM at HMRC. You’ll be a key player in ensuring that our tax data and digital reporting is of the highest integrity, complying with all standards, regulations and legislation and in doing so reinforce our trusted brand. You’ll assist and advise internal and externaltaxation matters to enable optimisation of our tax position and a high quality of data. Reporting to the Director of Financial & Regulatory Accounting you’ll act as a source of tax expertise, assisting in the interpretation of tax and regulatory standards as well as maintaining close working relationships with a range of external bodies includingexternal (and internal) auditors, regulators and external accountants, working within agreed risk appetites. **We’re interested in what you do and how you do things, not when and where you do them. Our ‘smart working’ approach gives you the best of all worlds - working from home, in our modern offices in Hampshire or on the move. This means depending on yourrole, there will be opportunities to flex when and where you spend your time to perform at your very best. For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more. You might know it as flexible or hybrid working, for us it’s just another day living our best lives
