The company is a medium-sized business known for its commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards in its operations. Job Description Manage tax compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Provide strategic advice on tax planning within the insurance industry. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation. Oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns and other statutory filings. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address tax-related queries. Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations. Support business decisions with tax-efficient strategies and solutions. Lead and mentor junior members of the tax department. The Successful Applicant A recognised qualification in accountancy or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA. Proven experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, ideally within the insurance industry. Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and its application to businesses. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-specialists. Proficiency in using tax software and other relevant tools. Experience managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
