We are looking for a consultant intensivist who could either also be an anaesthetist, or have another base specialty or be a pure intensivist.
The Northern Care Alliance provides the benefits of scale but delivers this locally through multiple hospital sites across Oldham, Rochdale, Salford and Bury.

As the Healthier Together plans continue across Greater Manchester, Oldham Care Organisation (Royal Oldham Hospital) is to play a crucial role in treating patients with high acuity conditions, by providing high risk elective and emergency general surgery across North East of Greater Manchester.
The innovative plans will see Oldham benefit from a £25 million investment to bring patient activity under the full scope of Healthier Together. This will include a state-of-the-art new build for critical care over the next two to three years.
With these exciting plans for expansion ahead, Oldham Intensive Care are looking to appoint enthusiastic, patient focused Consultant Intensivists with a specialty as an Anaesthetists or other based specialties to join their team.
The service plays a pivotal role for the acutely unwell patient and their families, by providing a total of 22 Critical Care Beds. Working with a number of multi-disciplinary teams from across the Alliance, we our passionate team thrive to deliver the best possible care for our communities’, loved ones and look forward to welcoming like-minded individuals to our team. In addition to clinical work there are four FICE mentors among the substantive consultants; the unit is also active in research, currently focusing on Covid studies. The team is particularly proud of the strong Quality Improvement workstream within Intensive Care
