Empowering learning require a Creative Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN school in the Durham area. The role is 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8.30am-15.30pm but may become permanent for the right person.

The school is very focused on supporting students on their learning journey.
- Hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualification and experience
- Previous experience as working as a teaching assistant or support assistant
- Be responsive, flexible and sensitive to the differing needs of pupils. Including those with SEND
- To support students with ASC and SEMH needs
- Experience of behaviours that challenge
- Be able to work 1-1 and with small groups
- Communicate effectively in a variety of situations
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with all members of the school community
- Work flexibly with a commitment to continuity and quality of education. Be focused and driven to ensure that all children fulfil their potential.
- Be able to communicate effective
- Experience of PECS and Makaton would be an advantage
