**Scope**:
**The successful applicant will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will provide the day to day production, control, communication and management of technical documentation for the Amentum/Client Decommissioning Program. As Amentum is the Principal Contractor for the Site Decommissioning Program, you will be responsible for producing, maintaining and controlling documentation for use by Amentum staff and for its sub-contracted organisations in accordance with all License Condition and Local requirements. You should have previous experience of working in a high Hazard industry, preferably Nuclear, and of interacting with operations, engineering, maintenance and safety case professionals**:
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- **Interface with technical professionals in the writing, editing, and publication of various types of documents such as specifications, manuals, reports, plans, training material and presentations.**:

- **Research a variety of assigned topics and develop writing plans and outlines.**:

- **Assist in the development of supporting materials (illustrations, tables, etc.).**:

- **Track and monitors flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identifies and correct problem areas as they arise.**:

- **Provide quality assurance check for all document deliverables.**:

- **Participate regularly in department and company-wide proposal writing projects. May serve as proposal coordinator for large production efforts.**:

- **Utilize appropriate computer software for document test production. Investigates and implement best ways to product documentation electronically.**:

- **Provide technical writing/editing support to other Company contracts when workloads permit.**:

- **Establish and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing.**:

- **Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.**:

**Experience**:

- **Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC in engineering discipline**:

- **Proven experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation and operator/maintenance manuals for Hazardous systems and equipment.**:

- **Knowledge of applicable UK Nuclear standards, specifications and test practices is desireable.**:

- **Must be able to conceptualize, format, structure, write, edit and finalize technical manuals, orders, specifications, modification work orders, and test plans, procedures and results.**:
**Successful applicant must be a British national and must be eligible to hold a DV level of security clearance.**:
