**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced **Construction Plant Fitter** to join our team. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of construction plant and equipment, ensuring machinery is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnose, service, and repair plant machinery including crawler cranes, excavators, dumpers, compressors, rollers, and small tools.
- Carry out planned preventative and proactive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Respond to breakdowns on-site locations.
- Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure mínimal downtime and communicate to line manager and site management.
- Maintain accurate service records and paperwork.
- Carry out any other duties, as instructed by the line manager.
- Work to health & safety standards at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
