Teaching Personnel have been approached by a Specialist School in Poole who require multiple Autism Support Workers. The school require staff on short-term and long-term contracts which could be either on a full-time or a part-time basis. The school catersfor pupils, aged 4-16, with SEND including, ASD, HI, SLCN and VI, MLD and Complex Needs. Many pupils who attend this school struggle with their speech, language and communication and some do display challenging behaviours.
As an Autism Support Worker, you will be required to:
- Support pupils throughout the school day
- Support pupils across the specialist provision
- Incorporate the use of senses into learning
- Help pupils to support their speech, language and communication
- Consider the choices, needs and wishes of each pupils and encourage them to make the right choices for learning
The school require nurturing individuals which can make a positive impact on the pupils at the school. The perfect applicant should be empathetic, an excellent communicator and compassionate. They should help support the needs of each individual pupil andwant to help them to achieve their goal.
