A fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a well-established, specialist business. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as dedicated training will be provided to expand your range of skills.

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating numerous subcontractors for various projects. You will work closely with machining shops and material suppliers across the UK to ensure the successful on-time completion of all projects, while ensuring that subcontractors meet all project requirements and timelines. As a Supply Chain Coordinator your primary objective is to ensure that the work conducted outside of the business is closely managed, completed on time and within scope. The role is organization and commitment-based which primarily focuses on external supply chains. However, due to the nature of the work, you will be expected to engage with anyone across the business and externally to achieve on time delivery of subcontractor contracts.

**Duties**:

- Identify and evaluate subcontractors for various projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Oversee the quality of work performed by subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor bids and proposals and negotiate contracts that align with the business objectives and meet the customers’ expectations.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that subcontractor work is integrated into overall project plans.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Operations Manager.
- A full UK driving license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
