**Senior Buyer, Grocery**
**London**

As a Senior Buyer for the Grocery category, you will be responsible for end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring we have the right products at the right prices to meet our obligations to customers. You will work closely with our suppliers, along with cross-functional teams and stakeholders here at Zapp, to drive category growth and optimise inventory levels of our Non-Food and Ambient products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Relationships**: Build and sustain effective relationships with our supplier network.
- **Analytics & Insights**:Produce detailed analysis and insights on category opportunities, along with analytical support in the development of category plans.
- **Assortment Strategy**:Develop and execute a clear assortment strategy to fit our on-demand delivery convenience offering.
- **Category Strategy**:Analyse company data and external market data to determine key trends to drive category strategies
- **New Business Engagement**:Engage with new businesses to increase brand awareness and product range
- **Collaboration**:Work with internal teams across marketing, social, product and partnerships to optimise our customer offering, increase brand investments and hit company targets along with brand growth.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- A minimum of 5 years category management / buying experience specialising in Grocery products in a food or luxury retailer
- 5+ years of relevant experience in category management/buying within non-food and/or ambient products
- Creative problem solver with an eye for detail
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience of outstanding negotiation and procurement practices to achieve cost savings Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
