JOB PURPOSE
- Lead the Lab team to ensure quality is promoted both internally and externally and all standards and customer requirements are met.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Take responsibility for decisions around releasing product to customers and guide production operators in quality-based decision making.
- Responsible for management of the QC lab team and rota ensuring all shifts are covered including arranging overtime.
- Interaction with operations leaders to raise and manage quality investigations and communication.
- Own lab systems and processes including leading improvements in QC.
- Manage the training and induction of all QC staff.
- Responsibility for calibration and verification of testing equipment.
- Carry out quality testing to support the QC technicians when needed.
- Management of retained samples and collation for non-conformances.
- Manage release of customer products on completion of QC testing.
- Communicate details of complaints to operating teams and ensure that corrective actions are maintained.
- Undertaking internal audits where necessary.
