We are looking for a Deputy Housekeeper to join our friendly housekeeping team at the Passage House Hotel. The role would answer to the Head Housekeeper and would supervise the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas ensuring that the set standards are met.

The successful applicant would be required to:

- Allocate rooms and cleaning duties to staff in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
- Inspect the rooms and public areas daily to ensure that the they meet with the set standard.
- To check daily that storage areas and corridors are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Allocate and monitor cleaning materials from the housekeeping store daily at a set given time in the absence of the head housekeeper.
- To service guest rooms, ensuring that company standards are met.
- Adhere to the COSHH training regarding chemicals.
- Report any maintenance faults.
- Adhere to fire training and ensure that all fire doors are closed and corridors are free from obstruction.
- Undertake any extra cleaning duties as delegated by the housekeeper or management.
- Work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

The Passage House Hotel is a family owned, independent hotel with 90 bedrooms and 29 Apartments offering functions, weddings and conferences alongside our main restaurant and bar food operation. The hotel is located in Kingsteignton, beside the river, an area of great natural beauty, and is a popular destination choice with guests from around the UK and Europe. As well as individual guests the hotel welcomes coach groups throughout the year and as such we experience a busy year-round trade.

Pay: £12.00 per hour
