**About the role**

Organon is hiring a Quality Control Associate Specialist to join our friendly team at our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the testing and analysis of our (mainly tablet) products, ensuring that all testing performed at Cramlington meets the highest standards of quality and complies with both internal and external (Regulatory) requirements.

This is a great time to join our Lab Testing team as it grows and evolves, to play your part in supporting our business growth. Working together, we will make a significant impact on people’s health.

Our lab consists of multiple testing teams; Microbiology; Raw Materials; Packaging Components; as well as Finished products for both release and stability. The lab team consists of almost 100 analysts doing a variety of testing, from Dissolutions to Absence of Salmonella species products, using HPLC to density meters.

**Role Responsibilities**

**Compliance** - work to the highest standards of quality and comply with both internal (Organon) and external (Regulatory) cGMP, cGLP requirements

**Health & Safety **Ensure that all areas work within Organon and regulatory and Safety Guidelines.

**Resource** - Utilise all available time and resources efficiently.

**Supply**:

- planning and scheduling of testing, ensuring Customer Service/Testing metrics/Site metrics are achieved and monitored.

**Documentation** - Develop and produce new SOPs / Job Instructions etc to maintain and further encourage standard practices and compliance status of the departments.

**Deviations** - Support laboratory deviation occurrences, helping with root cause identification and CAPA solutions.

**Continuous Improvement** To drive and contribute to department continuous improvement using lean principles and problem solving tools

**Role Requirements**:

- B.Sc./B.A. degree required (science or related field) OR, Associate Degree with related technical industry experience OR significant equivalent experience
- Experience of a laboratory environment
- Understanding of testing and laboratory functions
- Planning and organising skills
- Forward thinking and solution focused
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- High level communication skills - written and verbal

**English Job Description**:
