We are currently looking for x 7 Yard Operatives in our Derby branch.
**Salary**: £24,960 per annum
Additional allowance of £2 per hour for any hours worked between 18:00 - 06:00
- Receiving, picking, put away, replenishment and dispatch. Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process.
- Process inbound and outbound goods on customer’s internal systems (full training will be given).
- Raising any stock discrepancy issues.
- Continuously looking to improve process and procedure to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to, escalating any concerns to the line manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to the
line manager.
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- Good level of general education, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English.
- Literate and numerate.
- Previous warehouse/yard experience is an advantage.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage.
- FLT licence essential.
- M1 (combi-lift) & Telehandler Licence are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Awareness and understanding of abnormal/large products.
- Ability to work well under pressure and keep to tight deadlines.
- Proactive and able to foster good working relationships.
- Knowledge of SAP desirable.
- Customer service skills as you will be working with hauliers and contractors on site.
