We're looking for an efficient and well-organised Kitchen Porter to join our team and assist our chefs in the kitchen.

Experience working in a kitchen environment is useful but not necessary however you should show a positive attitude and work ethic. If you're looking to step into a hospitality/catering career from the ground-up, we're a great, friendly place to start.

Our business mission of 'Delicious Happiness' means all our guests should leave our building happier than when they walked in. Your role in helping to maintain cleanliness, efficiency and organisation within the kitchen and front-of-house team will contribute towards this.

Regular tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- washing up of crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner, using the dishwasher
- keeping your KP workstation clean and tidy at all times
- ensuring all cleaning chemicals are well stocked, organised and topped up, reporting any shortages to Head Chef
- putting deliveries away (initially under supervision and guidance of Head Chef) in a safe and organised manner
- keeping external waste area tidy
- assisting the chefs when required with basic food prep - an area that can be developed through additional training
- assisting the front-of-house team with any general cleaning if required
- sweeping and mopping
- reporting any maintenance issues to Head Chef that you may come across

A certificate in food hygiene is useful but not essential. We will provide training to all new team members, and will supply certified training where applicable.

Pay is fortnightly on Fridays and will include Tronc (tips/service charge). Tronc is in addition to your hourly pay. and is calculated by an external company who share the tips/service charge equally throughout team members working on each shift. It currently averages at around £2-£4 extra per hour.
