The role of a Head of Trading Operations involves overseeing and managing the execution of trades while identifying, assessing, and mitigating the risks associated with trading activities. This position plays a critical junction with the dealing team, ensuring that the company's trading strategies are executed efficiently and within the framework of risk tolerance and regulatory compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Execution Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for the execution of forex trades, optimizing for cost, speed, and risk exposure. This includes selecting the appropriate execution venues, whether direct market access, ECNs (Electronic Communication Networks), or through liquidity providers.
- Risk Management: Closely monitor trading activities for potential risks, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses and protect the company's capital and client funds.
- Technology Oversight: Oversee the technology and systems used for trade execution, including the reliability and security of trading platforms. Work with the IT department to ensure that the technology infrastructure supports effective risk management.
- Liquidity Management: Manage relationships with liquidity providers, banks, and other financial institutions to ensure that the company has access to sufficient liquidity for its trading activities. Negotiate terms and monitor the performance and reliability of these relationships.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze trade execution performance, identifying areas for improvement. This includes monitoring slippage, execution speed, and the impact of trading costs on overall profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for trade execution, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that team members are effectively contributing to the company's trading and risk management objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, including the broader risk management team, trading desk, compliance, and senior management, to provide insights into execution risks and strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Significant experience in forex trading or trade execution, with a deep understanding of the forex market and trading strategies.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices, especially as they relate to forex trading.
- Familiarity with financial regulations affecting forex trading, both globally and in specific jurisdictions.
- Ability to analyze trading data and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
- Understanding of the technology used in trade execution platforms and the ability to collaborate with IT professionals to enhance trading infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving its objectives.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
