Dog Groomer

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for a variety of dog and cat breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised after each use.
- Build rapport with pet owners by providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their pets’ grooming needs.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in the heavy lifting of larger animals as necessary during grooming sessions.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any special notes regarding each pet's behaviour or health concerns.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to ensure the overall health of the animals being groomed.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in animal care and pet grooming.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger pets.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness in all aspects of work.

Pay: £22,880.00-£39,132.03 per year
