**Maths Teacher**

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experience and passionate Maths Teacher to join small, supportive Alternative Provision, based in Basingstoke.

The provision is a small, supportive Alternative Provision for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, they were rated a 'Good' school and provide short-term placements for young people in the Basingstoke area who needadditional behavioural, emotional or medical support.

You will be a passionate teacher to engage students in mathematics; not just to provide academic and exam support, but to be able to support emotionally in a therapeutic and positive way.

The students often require support to build trusting relationships with professionals and you will have high expectations and a belief that they can succeed. You will be someone who can think outside the box with creative lessons for our onsite and offsitestudents, as well as bring a unique element to the team.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will be**:

- Ensuring that the teaching area is organised appropriately to provide a safe, tidy, pleasant and stimulating environment.
- Planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum based on individual needs having due regard to pupil entitlement.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families/carers.

**Experience, Training and Qualification**
- Qualified Teacher Status (DfE Number)
- Subject specialism: Maths
- Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
- Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
- Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
- The ability to grow individual personal development.
- Experience supporting an individual with Behavioural Difficulties.
- Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
