**Head of Care**
**Ridgeway House, Royal Wootton Bassett**
**Salary £26,750 per annum**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Are you an experienced Head of Care, with the passion to make a difference?
Can you lead a team of people to deliver outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do their best?
As Head of Care, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home to ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered and maintained at all times. You’ll carry out initial assessments of potential residents, produce individual care plans and support both residents and their families through the process.
Leading a team of carers, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible. You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the appropriate channels.
In return we’ll provide opportunities for career development and training to support your personal growth, all delivered in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.
Nestled in the royal town of Royal Wootton Bassett is Ridgeway House, providing compassionate and personalised residential, respite and day care to the local community. The warm and friendly home is split into three households, each household has its own spacious dining and lounge areas.
**AND IN RETURN**
The Trust is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we’re currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in. Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development.
Here are some of the other benefits you’ll enjoy as a valued member of our team:
- 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- A Company pension
- Life assurance
- Free uniform
- Free DBS
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
- Blue Light Card and “My Rewards” programme, offering you discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more
**ABOUT YOU**
You’ll have previous management experience in elderly care with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards Management Diploma Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent).
You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care.
