The Role: Course Tutor
Duties and Responsibilities of the Employability and Vocational Tutor:
- Deliver diverse vocational training programs in a classroom setting, covering areas like Employability, Customer Service, Hospitality, Health & Social Care, Retail, Digital Skills, Health & Safety, Business Administration, or Warehousing.
- Design engaging lesson plans, schemes of work, and training resources to cater to learner needs.
- Consistently deliver theory, practical, and coaching sessions of high quality, employing various effective learning methods that yield exceptional outcomes.
- Develop and maintain individualised learning plans.
- Provide high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment aligned with this Training Provider's standards, encompassing vocational and technical skills.
- Inspire and engage students using creative learning strategies that drive them to reach their potential.
- Offer academic and pastoral support to guide students towards their goals.
- Evaluate and assess students' work, furnishing feedback for improvement.
- Take ownership of student progress and achievement within your course.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and support services to monitor and review student attendance, progress, and achievement, addressing potential learning obstacles with suitable interventions.
- Adhere to specific quality standards and target completion.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of learners' progress.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required for the Employability Tutor:
- Teaching qualification at level 3 or above.
- Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 qualifications (or willingness to work towards them).
- Assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- Proficiency in Employability, Customer Service, Hospitality, Health & Social Care, Retail, Digital Skills, Health & Safety, Business Administration, or Warehousing.
- Background in supporting, delivering, and assessing vocational qualifications to unemployed learners
- Experience providing information, advice, and guidance to learners.
- A passion for fostering people's development.
- Full UK Driving License and access to your own vehicle.
