We will reimburse 50% of your course fees, up to a maximum of £5,000.00 a year. We have multiple offices within the UK and we have been working in a distributed fashion for years. We are open to hybrid and remote work (from the UK) or we can offer you a place in one of our offices if you prefer.

**The role**:
In this role you’ll prepare, review and sign off detailed technical reports and serve as technical lead and/or reviewer for consulting engagements within the Power Networks service offering. These studies will include, System impact and grid code compliance studies, such as contingency analysis, harmonic analysis, P28, transient stability etc.

You will also develop consulting proposals and their components as well as supporting the General Manager in business development activities by presenting PSC capabilities to existing and prospective clients. You will be managing deliverables, schedules and budgets for client projects and studies, developing & delivering client presentations and keeping clients regularly updated, always managing expectations. You will coordinate workflows with colleagues around the world and you will mentor, coach and develop junior engineers. You’ll be able to lead and carry out study projects across the generation, transmission and distribution sectors, including load flow, short circuit and stability analysis.

**You**:

- Have an undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Have 5 years + experience in power system analysis in grid connection, generation, transmission and/or distribution systems, including grid code compliance.
- Are a highly proficient, advanced user of power system simulation software, in particular PSS/E, DigSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD, with proficiency in multiple packages preferred.
- If you are a Chartered Engineer or have a higher degree that is even better.
- May also have (or you will quickly develop) capability in one or more other specialised technical areas, such as earthing, substation design, protection, power quality or electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies using PSCAD and/or other similar power systems modelling software.

**Experience in some of the following would also be great**:

- Resonance driven stability both electrical and torsional
- Converter driven stability both slow and fast
- Control interactions
- Modelling of controls in EMT
