Senior School Attendance and Cme Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Senior School Attendance and Children Missing Education Officer to work in Slough. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £17.00 - £21.11 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment optionsare available).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- To assist the Attendance Team Manager in ensuring pupils on roll at schools are attending school.
- To assist the Attendance Team Manager in ensuring that pupils who are reported as missing education are tracked and provided with education as soon as possible.
- To support schools, parents and other agencies and provide advice and guidance on school attendance and children missing education.
- Improve attendance and reduce persistent absence at schools by following up referrals.
- Monitor performance at schools and take action to improve attendance if necessary.
- Draft reports, letters and court papers associated with non-attendance as required.
- Support the Attendance Team Manager in the issuing of fixed penalty notices and instigation of prosecution procedures.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of all legislation associated with attendance.
- Ensure that pupils who are reported as missing education are tracked and provided with education if required, following CME policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of systems to ensure attendance and CME processes are effective.
- Provide advice and support to Heads and other senior staff about strategies that can be used to improve attendance and CME procedures.
- Prioritise workload in accordance with team deadlines.
- Team Manager in ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met by working with schools, parents, other agencies and other LAs.
- Consider safeguarding responsibilities in undertaking the work above and take appropriate action when necessary Any other duties commensurate with the post.
**Applicant Requirements**:
- **Qualifications**:N/A.
- **Experience**:1+ year of experience working within a similar role.
- **Compliance**:Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and references covering the last 5 years.
- **Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**:37 hours p/w.
