An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager - Electronics / Embedded Software required to join a dynamic technology team based within the Fareham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager - Electronics / Embedded Software to join an already established team specialising in the design, prototyping and manufacture of embedded electronics and software products.
You will have a hands-on approach, working closely with the project manager, electronics and software engineers to support our customers with research, development and manufacture of embedded electronics and software products.
You will be managing 8 design engineers. The team is split between electronic design and software design.
The Engineering Manager - Electronics / Embedded Software Responsibilities will be:
Key Responsibilities:
*Full ownership of the delivery of the project and product development programme.
*Responsible for the overall personnel management of the team, including allocating activities, tracking progress along with training requirements.
*Manage resource allocation for engineering projects and prioritising between projects where/if conflict for resources occur.
*Manage the process of system design, requirements capture, product definition, detailed design (of hardware and software) and introduction into production.
*Liaison and negotiation with business stakeholders for the allocation of budget and resources to projects.
*Participation in the review, creation and improvement of best practice processes and associated procedures and toolsets and active participation in continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skillset for Engineering Manager - Electronics / Embedded Software
*At least five years of experience in managing a team.
*Experience in project managing engineering design projects for new markets.
