**Job overview**:
Due to expanding business, we are looking for an experienced NHS Pensions Officer to join our busy Pension team. Covering all aspects of NHS Pensions where no 2 days are the same, your expertise will enhance and shape the future of our services.

As a large, shared service provider, we pride ourselves on ensuring our staff receive the support they need to succeed in the role. With regular new business, there are opportunities to progress in the Department.

**Main duties of the job**:
ELFS Shared Services is a division of Northern Care Alliance (NCA) and is passionate about delivering high quality Payroll, Pension and Expense services currently to 23 organisations across the NHS. As a leading shared services supplier, this exciting opportunity allows you to work with a fantastic team of individuals and enhance your skills

You will work as a member of a team but must be able to work using your own initiative and have a willingness to embrace new technologies and change. Previous pension experience would be essential.

- 5 GCSEs inc Maths & English at Grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent experience

**Knowledge of NHS Pension Regs**:

- Knowledge of Statutory and NHS Pension legislation

**NHS Payroll/Terms and Conditions**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrate how to develop knowledge of NHS pay, pension and appropriate statutory regulations.

**Attention to detail**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrate ability to multitask and use own initiative
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

**Worked in Payroll Environment**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Experience of working in a Pensions, Payroll or Finance office

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience in Local government

**Systems knowledge**:
**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of using ESR
