- Claim handling is a vital service provided by Claim Europe and we are dedicated to providing our insureds, reinsureds, brokers and underwriters with an efficient and effective claims service. If you are looking for your first step into a Claims role or looking to further your Claims career, this could be the role for you

We are hiring an Associate Claim Professional to join our team based in Manchester, London or Redhill on a 12 month FTC basis. This role will give you exposure to the civil litigation process and the management of Professional and Financial Lines claims including Directors & Officers and Cyber, whilst being supported by an enthusiastic team of 11 Claim Professionals.

What Will You Do?
- In accordance with Company guidelines and best practices:

- Analyses and applies policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
- Investigates assigned claims.
- Drafts correspondence to brokers/insureds requesting additional information
- Completes delegated claim management tasks under direction
- Implements claim payments and reserves within agreed claims handling authority.
- Maintains data accuracy and assumes responsibility for quality control of their caseloads, keeping accurate and timeliness records, file management and reporting information.
- Develops and maintains effective business relationships both externally and internally.
- Works as a team member providing such support as required by other members of the team and fully participates in individual and shared project work.
- Openly communicates knowledge of his/her actions with manager and colleagues in order to consider and better understand the impact on other technical, operational, sales and financial disciplines
- Proactively participates in training and other learning and development activities to maintain and enhance technical knowledge and other skills.
- Some prior insurance related activity experience preferred (e.g. paralegal, insurance operations, insurance broker, Claim team or similar) or graduate calibre with a strong academic record.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Word and Excel, and confidence working with new IT systems.
- Knowledge or previous experience of case management systems would be an advantage but training will be provided.
- Able to work to deadlines, prioritise own caseload effectively and work under some pressure.
- Takes a proactive approach to problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Customer orientation - empathetic and caring.
- Team orientated - a collegiate approach to working with others.

What is a Must Have?
- Minimum of degree education or strong academic record

- Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
- Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
