Axon Moore are currently working with a successful business undergoing a major Transformation and in the midst of several high-profile projects.They are looking for a SAP Consultant to assist with capitalising SAP’s capabilities completely.
This role will work with the Financial Controller to improve and utilise the current SAP set up.
As SAP consultant, you will minimise the need to deal with the third party providers, improve the utilisation of the program, implement and build reports and be the onsite expert for SAP.You will be responsible for automating processes and putting new timesaving systems in place.
**Duties**:

- Ensures that all systems data, hierarchies, cost centres, GL codes, delegated authorities, supplier and customer details are maintained in line with business requirements
- Manages the periodic processing of critical financial interfaces and ledger closures along with any associated systems procedures and processes
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert for SAP and other software/systems required for the Finance team
- Provides guidance, direction and training to the business on the use of SAP ensuring the business gets the best possible return on its investment in technology
- Ensuring that key controls around systems access, user rights and security profiles are implemented and maintained
- Perform a review of processes and identify areas for improvement. Reassess the systems we use to help increase accuracy and efficiency - support the business in improving the utilisation of SAP to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- Drive automation of existing manual processes using SAP
- Be the lead from an integration standpoint when developing new systems which interact with SAP
- Work with / alongside the finance and BI teams to develop BI Reports / Dashboards to provide the business with better insight
- Be the key point of contact for all SAP related technical/process queries from within the business and partner with the business to find solutions
- Document appropriate procedures, including the communications and re-training to finance teams on all system related changes where required.

Person Specification:

- We are looking for an experienced SAP consultant with a wealth of system interrogation / implementation experience.
- Ideally a qualified accountant
- Advanced excel skills
- Immediately available / available at short notice.
