**Responsibilities of a Health Care Professional**
- Our Health Care Professionals care for the complex day to day needs of our much loved residents within our homes.
- Assisting our residents with their personal care and social needs.
- Seeing each resident as an individual and adapting yourself to them.
- Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live.
- Communicating with family members as well as other health care professionals.
- Maintaining dignity and respect.

**Requirements of a Health Care Professional Team member:

- The job involves working in one of our nursing homes in Barrow in Furness or at Aldingham and St Cuthberts Nursing Home on the Coast Road -own transport is essential for the coast road.
- Rotational Day Positions - Hours are 37.5 a week set on a rota and usually involve 3 long shifts per week 7.45am-9pm but some night cover is required for holidays and sickness.
- Permanent Night Positions - Hours are 8.45pm - 8am on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off basis (Monday - Sunday) or 4 nights on and 4 nights off at our Aldingham Home.

The role of the Health Care Professional is both demanding and challenging but you will make a difference each time you come into work.
